Proudly Serving Fort Knox, KY

One of our favorite things about our location at Hardin County Honda is serving the many charming areas surrounding Elizabethtown, Kentucky. One such location is Fort Knox, Kentucky, a humble little military post town situated north, towards Louisville. Known largely for being the home of the United States Bullion Depository (the fortified building that holds much of the United States’ gold reserves and other valuables), Fort Knox has plenty to see, beyond guarded doors.

General George Patton Museum

Most of the history of Fort Knox is rooted in a proud military background. The General George Patton Museum is one of the many attractions that allows visitors to celebrate this reputation. Here, you can learn about General Patton’s military leadership in both World War I and World War II.

Armor Unit Memorial Park

Just across the way from the General George Patton Museum is the Armor Unit Memorial Park. This lovely park features monuments and tributes that honor the armor units that served the United States during the wars that took place in the 1900s, offering another way in which visitors can connect with Fort Knox’s military history.

Bridges to the Past

For a different kind of glimpse into historic Kentucky, pay a visit to the Bridges to the Past. This self-guided tour takes visitors along a two-mile walk that follows paved trails and preserved, historic, stone bridges.

Fort Knox Water Park

If you and the family are looking to cool off during one of the upcoming summer months, the Fort Knox Water Park is the place to be. This fun attraction offers plenty of ways to take a dip, from exhilarating slides to creative play areas. Pack a lunch and enjoy a picnic at one of the picnic tables or buy an ice cream treat from the snack bar to cool off in more than one summer-fun way.
